Rare vintage classic Glanz MFG31L moving flux phono cartridge and stylus. Excellent condition , stylus cantilever straight and stylus still has plenty of life in it. Owned since the late 1980?s and used only sparingly due to its rarity. Plenty of comment on the audio forums , some audiophiles unable to distinguish its sound from the Astatic MF200 , one step down from their legendary MF100.Nude line contact for superb detail retrieval and due to stylus profile. , good for up to 2000 to 3000 hours. Sound signature is similar to the Goldring 1040/1042 which I used to own but the resemblance ends there. By comparison the Goldrings sound veiled, muddled etc and to be honest are a bit of a mess.The transient attack and swing in dynamics of the Glanz is a joy to behold , this thing can turn on a sixpence.Now discontinued , styli do appear now and again , otherwise retipping is a real option and given one hours play a day , 7 to 8 years between retips , quite cost effective.If it weren?t for my Supex cartridges , this would remain in my collection , but now is very seldom played , so time for a new home.For those reading this will be aware of the availability of the holy grail of Glanz?s , the MFG61 , alas without stylus. That cartridge is great value IF you can find a stylus , but my offering is a couple of notches down and all ready to go and is priced accordingly.

GE 5 star GL - 5751 triple Mica matched pair 1953 black anodes valves tubes. These have the angled square getter, copper posts for the grids. Strong matched and balanced pair.The 5751 was designed to resist the effects of shock and vibration. They are similar to the 12AX7, but with gain reduced to 70.They were purchased as NOS, and have been in my “stock/stores”.
