This is a used pre-owned Vintage AIWA TP-1012 portable tape player 4 track 3 speed AC or battery . It is in very good condition but one of the 2 covers on the side for the speaker is missing. When I turn it on the lights work and after putting a tape on it when I press play nothing happened but if you do reverse that works. One needle does move. It is approximately 14 inches tall by 14 inches wide 8 inches deep and weighs 17 1/2 pounds. YOU ARE BUYING IT IN AS IS CONDITION FOR EITHER PARTS OR REPAIR. In excellent working order. I have replaced both belts in the turntable with new so it should be good as far as belts go for a long time to come. I have also replaced the stylus with new as well recently, there is less than 10 hours of use on it. There is some scuffs and scratches from use throughout and a chip on the tone arm rest as pointed out in the photos. It has an individual track selection feature kind of like a cd player. This LX-7 is compatible with an Aiwa mini system so it has an extra cord on the back to hook up to that (I have this system for sale in my store), otherwise, it is identical to the Aiwa LX-70 and can be used in any normal stereo system. Nice compact size measuring 13 long x 13 wide!

For sale is this great Aiwa LX-50 Direct Drive Automatic Linear Tracking Turntable. For its age I would class this deck as being in a good (for its age, probably very good), used condition with some marks, scuffs, scratches and wear. Please check out all the pictures as these make up a large part of the description and show the condition well. Really is a great sounding deck and plays nice and quietly. When the arm returns to the rest (automatically, after playing the record) it does make a little noise when moving, but probably no more than you would expect. Also, when the arm is on the rest, it seems a little off-centre, so you have to load a record from the left, at an angle to avoid the stylus, but it works fine (when you know the knack, its very easy) but the arm could probably use a slight adjustment. Iv included close up pics showing this. Have a Google for full details and spec. Comes as pictured with attached power cable, earth and RCA leads. The power cable has a female connector (as was originally powered from the back of another unit) but I will include a power cable to allow this to be connected to the mains. Vintage portable Aiwa TP1012 4 track stereo 3 speed Tape Recorder - working. This is a vintage machine and with aged components and could benefit from a good service. Having said that it works on playback ; it records on both channels (ive only tested the mic input) ; FFW and RWD are ok but the tape tends to slow down towards the end but it does go to the end of the tape without grinding to a halt ! The needle on the right vumeter goes high when in FFW. The vumeters respond normally when in playback/record mode. There is slight whirring noise of the belts/spindles on FFW and RWD .The 12v DC battery compartment has been tampered with. Other than these minor aspects it is nice example of 50 odd year old machine. This was taken from the reel-reel.com site.
