This ALTEC 802D Driver with 811B Horn has been tested and sound wonderful. They were removed from a custom built cabinet (built into the house) here in Southern California (Rancho Palos Verdes Estates) overlooking the harbor of San Pedro, Long Beach. This was purchased by the original homeowner and incorporated by the builder in the 1960s when the house was new. Yes, indoors kept (living room) here in Southern California where the mild climate and moderate seasonal fluctuation tends to be more forgiving to vintage audio equipment compared to other, more weather-volatile regions of the United States. pair Altec 511B horns with 908-8B compression driver. fully functional the horns are in good condition. the drivers got a new aftermarket diaphragm .the connector of one of the drivers sometimes doesn´t make an instant contact withe the speakercable and you´d have to rattle the cable a bit , but once the sound is there it stays that way . selling because i don´t have the space anymore to use them . will be shipping in 2 parcels , each horn in a separate parcel
