Vintage BLAUPUNKT DERBY 660 Portable Radio (Car Radio VW Porsche?) - Powers On. Ok. First off, there is no battery compartment cover. This guy powers on (using a 9v AC adapter that’s not supplied), and it hums, but I can’t get any stations tuned in. You can only hear the humming sound, but no stations making any static sounds as you pass over them while turning the tuning dial. No lights light either. Being sold as is for repair. That’s the bad stuff. The good part is that there’s no cracks or broken plastic. All the knobs are there, and the antenna too. The antenna is a little loose but still connected. The little chrome strips are still shiny, and the knobs and dials all spin fine, as do the buttons below them. A really cool piece to investigate what’s going on inside to keep the stations from making any noise. Feel free to question me if needed. I’ll also be listing another Derby under dash car radio also from the 1950’s (untested) - Stay tuned! If interested. US SHIPPING ONLY.

I believe it is for a car, or it can also be carried as a portable radio. I don’t know this as a fact, just my observation. I’m sure you know more about this radio than I do because you’re looking at it with interest. Seems to be in good cosmetic condition, all the knobs are intact, but there’s a chip out of the front frame plate, and missing one of the top mounting screws, and possibly a carry handle, but that’s about it. Oh, and the antenna tip is missing but antenna still pulls out. Being sold as is for repairs, although I didn’t test the battery compartment, you might be a big winner. US SHIPPING ONLY.

Vintage 1969/1970 Blaupunkt Portable Radio from 1969 or early 70. The radio has been tested with an external power supply (not included) and it is fully working on all bands with good reception and super warm tone.The battery compartment takes D size cells and all contacts are clean, and the antenna is straight and operates smoothly as it should.The radio case is in good condition and free from damage. Obviously for an item 53 years of age there are marks and signs of use, but these are very light indeed - please study the pictures (more can be supplied) as these form part of the description.The clip in cover for the power supply input and DIN out and external aerial is present, but needs tape to hold it in place. The auction includes the rare car / vehicle mounting frame shown.This is for attaching under the dashboard and once connected supplies the power and aerial connection when the radio is slid in and can also connect to the vehicle speaker system. There is a crack to the plastic cover that protects the contact strip when the radio is removed (see picture), but it does not effect the function at all. It will be sent fully insured and well packaged, or collection from NN3 2RE. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to ask.
