I have owned this preamp for about 6 years. I have recapped dozens of solid state and tube amplifiers, so I did this one as well with premium quality capacitors. I have completely re-capped this unit except for the MC phono preamp section. The tone control board and power supply caps have been replaced and the unit has also been adjusted according to the Yamaha C2a shop manual. I have also recently removed, disassembled and cleaned a dirty stereo/mono toggle switch. Tone controls, volume and balance controls are absolutely quiet, no scratchy sounds. The unit is smooth, dead quiet and clear as a bell. It is in very good shape for its age. All switches are tested and work as they should. The only cosmetic issues are a couple of tiny nicks shown in the photos and a light scratch. The iPhone pics dont do it justice. Looks better in person. The phono cartridge load selector switch may need a cleaning. The MC position needs a wiggle to get a good contact, but its possible and the MC phono preamp works. Lastly, one of the two Phono input RCA (phono 2) doesnt pass a signal. I tried to diagnose it but couldnt. Im selling this because my main rig is a minimalist tube amp set up and I dont listen to vinyl much anymore.

Yamaha C-2a Pre-Amp in excellent condition. Cosmetics defy age, with only one minor scratch along the left bottom edge of faceplate. All surfaces are near perfect, and all lettering, front and back, are perfect as well. Fully tested, and I need to say that the phono section sounds great! No noise from any control. Includes original box, most of the original packing, original Owners Manual, and both sets of unused Cartridge Load Plugs. Will be double boxed to preserve the original Yamaha box. An incredibly well-preserved classic that much-more-than holds its own with much more expensive current product.

yamaha vorverstrker C-2a. Hallo , Verkaufe hier meinen Yamaha Pre - Amp. Verstrker. Der Verstrker ist ein echtes Klangwunder , macht also viel Spa. Der Phono Umschalter funktioniert nicht richtig aber Kenner bekommen das wieder Repariert . Damit das Gert einwandfrei funktioniert sollte es gewartet werden!
