Es ist der berühmte Sony CDP 502 ES. Das größte ES Modell das seinerzeit in Deutschland von Sony verkauft wurde.Mit BU1 Gussrahmenlaufwerk und Linear Magnetschwebe Pickup. Die extrem edle Haptik und hervorragende Ergonomie muß man erlebt haben.Ein Gerät, das für die Ewigkeit gebaut wurde und fast ohne Plastik.HEUTE wäre es nicht mehr möglich in dieser Qualität ein Gerät der Unterhaltungselektronik auf industriellem Masstab gewinnbringend zu bauen. Gerät spielt ohne Aussetzer mit einem wunderbaren Klang. Mit dem Unilinear 16 Bit Wandler hat sich Sony ein Denkmal gesetzt.Es ist der wohl aufwendigste Wandler und der am teuersten ausgeführte, da vieles, wie z.B. die nachfolgenden Filterstufen, noch diskret nach dem Wandler aufgebaut wurden statt alles auf einen billigen Chip zu pressen. The CDP-502ES was one of Sonys finest CD players, released in 1984 and bested only by the 552esd which had the same DAC and transport but also came with a coaxial digital output. This generation is widely considered one of the best sounding players that Sony ever made, and I can attest to this. This example is in great condition and everything works! It has been my daily driver for the last 3 years, prior to which it was serviced in Germany, from where I imported it. It has a few slight comsetic imperfections, such as a small chip on the left side, and the Line Out lettering coming off. Collection in person from NW London preferred due to weight (almost 9kg). Im actively considering offers.
