Original 1984 CELESTION Model G12T-75 12 8 OHM + Amplifier Replacement SPEAKER. Date Code FS20 (February 20, 1984). Other Stamp on Label TYPE # T3781. Reads 7.1 Ohm. Tested in a 60 Watt Amp- Sounded Great Clean Chime and Even BETTER Crunch on Overdrive. Nice Breakup at Moderate volume. Original Cone # 1777 and is intact with no holes, rips or tears (see pics). ISSUE: It Appears that the DUST CAP was Reattached by GLUE (please see pics # 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 & 19 for specific reference). I know sound is subjective-BUT To My Ear, the reattachment/gluing does NOT affect speaker performance/Sound. Frame shows some expected age/use/storage wear, with some surface rust in spots (see pics) and has a slight bend on one section of outer edge (see pics # 12 & 13). Celestion hf2000 tweeters working very well one has the small cover missing easy replaced but both working properly.

A clean, original and great sounding pair of these classic monitors, these dating from circa 1977 as per the sequential serial nos. of 64519/64520 and date codes on the drivers. Bass/mid woofers are the 8 bextrene B&W DM200/4 with excellent surrounds, the tweeters doing the work are Celestion HF1300 (also with 1977 code), plus the Coles 4001 Super Tweeters for handling frequencies only audible to dogs and those significantly younger than me. All work well, crossovers as far as I can tell are original, there may be some benefit to a recap but they are sounding really good anyway. The cabinets have a few marks to be expected of the age but the only notable knock is pictured (to the left hand side of 64520) and not really obtrusive unless looking directly at it. The chocolate brown grilles are pretty much perfect-the photos make them look much blacker than they are. These are large and heavy units, hence the shipping cost, but they will be carefully packed for safe shipping-collection in person is preferred if possible.

Celestion Ditton 66 speaker in very good condition. It is MK1 version with veneered front baffle. The cabinets have been sanded and refinished with Danish Oil. The back of the speakers have been painted in black. The crossovers have been re-capped, new better wires added. Internal damping foam washed. The cabinets were properly sealed inside with glue. All the metal driver surrounds painted. Original grill cloths have been refreshed and re-glued.
