Ive owed these speakers for around 14 years or so. These are very capable speakers that packs a punch when driven to their full potential. As you can see frtom the photos, there are a few imperfections near the tweeter and around the casing however none of the imperfections affect the overall performance. Up for auction is a pair of used KEF C40 small floorstanding speakers. All drivers work- original tweeters (included) have low output and were replaced with new Dayton Audio DC28FT-8 tweeters with similar parameters. Minor modifications were done to the tweeter cutouts to accommodate the new tweeter terminals- original tweeters could be put back with no visible change to the front baffle. The speakers sound very nice. Cosmetic condition is good with the only real issues being an upper corner hole in the cloth of one grille and some discoloration of the cloth. Offered AS IS, as described. Please check the photos to judge condition. Local pickup preferred, but willing to ship only within the lower 48 US states. Thanks for looking.
