This Luxman PD-277 has been my personal turntable for more years than I would like admit! Although it has been sitting in my closet for the last 5 years or so, I have taken it out and run it through its paces. The motor is near silent, the tone arm lift is smooth, the strobe light still works, 33/45 speed selector works, as does the pitch controls and automatic mode functions. This unit DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CARTRIDGE. ( I used an Ortofon) The rubber matt looks brand new and also comes with the original felt mat as well. There is a very small dent (Shown in photo) where I must have dropped my walnut Discwasher some time in the past. There is also a small piece of the wood grained vinyl missing from the top left corner of the base which is hidden when the dust cover is closed. I would think a small piece of the this vinyl can be cut from the back of the base and glued to replace this missing piece if you wish. (Shown in photo) The dust cover is starting to yellow (Most noticeable in the corners and edges) and has cracks around the 2 rear hinges, but still works fine.
