Marantz CD63 mk.II KI Signature Has issues, it does play. Sometimes it can take it a minute to realise there is a CD in there. When it does play, it doesnt like anything with scratches Also the eject button can be unresponsive. It does have the remote control so it you can eject using that. Bought this as a project – but has sadly proved too much for me. Looking inside, there appear to have been some modifications to electronic components (look at all those ELNA & WIMA Caps). Also to include the ‘LLE’ upgrade (info online) such as a clock upgrade and efforts to try and improve chassis damping. Those of you in the know, may well also spot other things I have missed! *MAINS CABLE REMOVED* I have removed because the previous ‘bodge’ was dangerous. This is to your advantage, as another mod that can be made to these, is to install a shielded mains cable. (the cable clamp to the frame has been drilled, so cannot reinstall a standard cable) I will be including: Owners Manual, Service Manual, LLE Upgrade pages, KI-SIGNATURE Certificate & the Remote Control. This is a vintage Marantz CD player Model CD63T. Made in Holland. This appears to be made by Philips as this is identical to the Philips version but is branded as Marantz. It is in very good condition cosmetically but operation was questionable when put into storage many years ago. This is one of the earliest versions of CD players and is quite sort after even as an early piece of audio equipment. Obviously needs some investigation to put into operation.
