Meridian 557 Power Amplifier. 29kg in weight. 200w into 8 ohms. My own power amplifier of many years. Still a highly regarded amplifier today, check out the many positive online reviews. Cosmetically, the glue on the edge of the top glass has lifted around the edge in places (but has not changed in years now!). Up very close, there are some light speckled white dots on the fascia, but not generally visible as the pics show. Works fine, Ive used as both an independant power amp, or with another 557 in bridged mono mode. Only reason Im selling this one is because I have downsized my own setup a little and one of these is enough! Drives anything! Connectivity via either RCA or balanced XLR. Has RCA blanking plugs if youre using XLR too. So, comes with RCA blanking plugs, printed manual and power cable. I may deliver if youre close to Bristol, or possibly elsewhere dependant on my whereabouts generally. Postage charges are for a fully insured service (Ive listed postage costs separately, I normally include free postage but given the weight and value of this I have done so). Fully serviced last year with all electrolytic capacitors replaced with high quality parts from genuine supplier. Panasonic items (@105ºc) for small values and 4x PS caps uprated to 15000uf 105ºc Cornell units (£60 cost). Incredible build quality, 4 pairs of output transistors per channel so incredible damping factor and bass control for even the most difficult of loads.  Includes shorting plugs for balanced operation. Weighs 27kg No box so collection only at the moment but would be happy to drive up to 1hr at the offer price.

This was working fine until the Meridian power supply failed; then it sat in a cupboard for a few years. I recently found a suitable replacement supply.It has a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.90 but I no linger have the original Meridian config software on my laptop to set it up.It was being used with the Meridian Media core software running on a NAS drive rather than its own hard disk so it may be best to use this as a Roon endpoint or a Sooloos player raher than the system core.If you are familiar with the above then this may be a real bargain as I am starting this at a mere £50.Supplied with mains lead and the original (faulty) Meridian power supply and a working Crestron 12V replacement.
