Performance can be improved by adding separate audio and digital power supplies when required. For example, a hi-fi system using a 102 with a NAP 140 power amplifier could be radically improved by adding a HiCap supply to power the preamplifier audio circuitry. In addition, the sound quality can be further enhanced by adding a NAPSC to power the digital control circuitry of the preamplifier, reducing noise and significantly improving performance.
