I bought this along with some other equipment for the home of an audiophile. I plugged it in and it all seems to work fine, but there is one button cover missing off of the front (see photos) and I noticed that the power cord was not the right one and that it had a couple of loose screws so I took the cover off. Even though it works just perfectly, I noticed that the original owner had changed out some of the internal wires with thickly insulated ones as can be seen in the photos. There is one screw missing that holds the cover on, but I did put on the appropriate power cord. There is a little bit of sticky tape on the top back cover. Onix Rocket RSS-300 Adaptive Dipolar Surround Speaker. One unit only. Unit is tested and sounds great. Cosmetically maybe 8/10. Could benefit from new grill cloth and some buffing but very nice piece overall. Dates back to early 2000’s. Sounds excellent and very heavy, well built and weighing in around 23-1/2 lbs. The Onix line has a number of models, including the Rockets, of which the RSS-300s are a member. For $599 a pair, you get enclosures that have rosewood veneer all the way around the front and sides, and with black piano polymer tops and bottoms. There are two 5.25 aluminum woofers (one on each side) and two 1 aluminum tweeters (one on each side). The design is what's called adaptive dipole, meaning that one of the tweeters is wired out of phase with the other three drivers. The driver pairs are angled to each other rather than back-to-back, which a classic dipole would be. These two factors produce a diffuse sound that is different than a regular dipole, but but does not have the large amount of cancellation front to back that the regular dipole would have. You can also see in the photo how beautiful the rosewood is, and because these speakers will likely be mounted on the wall high up, the grilles can be left off without worrying about someone putting their fingers into the drivers.

Ampli Onix OA21, j’ai transformé l’entré Phono MM par une entrée ligne, c’est réversible et la carte MM est fournie, sa qualité est vraiment moyenne. Tous les chimiques sont neufs. Bias réglé à 18 mv. Cet ampli est parfaitement fonctionnel, mais avec un aspect d’usage comme le montre les photos.
