Lightly used project tube box s2 with Mullard 12 ax7 tubes installed, these were vintage tubes imported from Russia. Cost around $100. Unit works as expected.

Pro-Ject Tube Box DS2 Phonostage. I’m the first owner. Bought new from Upscale Audio in May 2020. I ran this for about a year, got the upgrade itch, and just haven’t brought it back into the system since. Deserves a good home. Fantastic phonostage with lots of great reviews. As shown in the pictures, this is the silver version with walnut sides. A real looker. Seems like the walnut versions are hard to find these days. I’ve examined closely and can’t find a single flaw. I take good care of my equipment. But listing as excellent, not mint, since it’s not new. All features work perfectly. Front panel adjustments make this a very easy and accessible phonostage. Will ship with stock tubes. I also have some RFTs (awesome for rock/metal), Mullards, and Gold Lions. I would sell some or all those as well for market price. Not necessarily looking to sell those since I have other tube gear, but would consider bundling with appropriate markup. I have all factory/original boxes. The turntable is a piano black Fluance RT85 with some choice upgrades. There are surface imperfections if you go looking for them, but nothing in the way of dents, dings or big ugly scrapes/scars are present. This table just has the unavoidable surface level imperfections that come along with a piano black surface. It was purchased in summer of 2023 and hasnt seen a ton of use. The most notable upgrade/s are the aluminum & sorbothane isolation feet and matching record puck/weight from MNPCTech. These items are designed specifically for Fluance RT Series turntables and are really sturdy. The feet act as a built-in isolation platform of sorts while the puck/weight is a nice touch aesthetically. Combined, they give the Fluance RT85 a more aggressive overall look and add quite a bit of mass. Cartridge 1 is a brand new Ortofon 2M Blue MM. Cartridge 2 is an Audio Technica AT120e MM. This is a rock solid backup cartridge as-is, but theres a crazy upgrade path for this thing. Everything from $15-$20 conical styli all the way up to $230-$240 nude shibata styli are plug n play. This cartridge could very easily become your #1 should you decide to upgrade it. Also included is a Pro-Ject Phono Box S2 phono preamplifier. This is a much nicer phono preamp than the offering on the Fluance website. There are dip switches on the bottom of this unit that allow you to match it with different phono cartridges. One of these dip switches is chipped off, but still fully functional. The defect isnt in view when the preamp is in use and it doesnt hinder functionality/performance in any way. To round things off, there are two (2) Fluance headshells included. One of these headshells is complete with lead wires and the other has no lead wires.
