I have for sale my Harmon Kardon ST8 Rabco linear tracking turntable with Ortofon LM15 cartage & needle, stylist alignment gauge, owners manual and original packaging/box. The turntable is very clean and in near mint condition. Its extremely rare to see one of these fine turntables clean with low hours in its original packaging. Its time for the ST8 to find a good home when it can be enjoyed. I bought the ST8 new in 1981 from Sensuous Sound Systems in Tampa FL. My original sale receipt will be included inside the owners manual. C.D.s came out shortly after I purchased the turntable so it has spent most of its life store in its original box in my smoke free, air conditioned home. It was taken out of the box and played periodically. The turntable works exactly as it should as when it was new. The Rabco tonearm tracks/follows straight with the record with NO lead or lag. The air-pot damping/tonearm cueing system and the auto tonearm lift/shut off (at end of record) works fine. The motor speed strobe locks and holds platter speed steady. The Ortofon LM15 cartridge and needle has low hours on it. The dust cover is in great shape with no cracks. There are several light scratches on the top towards the rear and a couple of small nick on the front edge. If desired, the scratches could probably be carefully lessened or removed with plastic polish. The ST8 will be shipped in its original factory packaging/box and then placed in a second outer box for further protection.
