Schiit Audio MODI 3+ Silver DAC D/A Converter - Used Once / Perfect Cond. in Box I dont remember exactly when this one was released but at the time I bought it to try it out against a couple of other DACs. I was gonna return it since it wasnt the winner (to be fair the other ones were way more expensive), but forgot about it and realized too late that the return window had closed. It has never been used in any other way. It has been sitting in its box since and is in perfect condition cosmetically and works perfectly. Comes with a USB micro to standard USB cable and a wall plug to it (should you need to power it that way). Did not come with any manual or anything else - there is an online PDF manual. I cannot seem to find the complete specifications of this DAC, except for here on eBay in another listing but Id prefer a more official source. What I do know is that it uses a AK4490 chip, and that the + in the model number compared to the previous one is cause it has Schiits Unison USB technology, previously only available on more expensive DACs. Schiit Magni 3 & Modi 3 (With Added Cables). Selling my beloved Schiit stack. Unbeatable audio quality at this price point, it even beats much more expensive equipment. Very compact size, perfect as a desktop stack for headphones, used these to power my dt990pros, dt770s, Senheiser HD58X Jubilee and most recently my Audeze LCD2 Classics. They power all these headphones with ease, so no worries on that front. Full working order and in excellent condition. Im also throwing in some RCA interconnects and a micro USB cable, so you have everything you need to get you up and running. Just plug in your headphones, and off you go. Original power brick for the Magni 3 also included. Advice if you havent used a high end amp before, set the gain switch to low on the rear first and start with your volume at 0, then slowly increase the volume until you find a comfortable listening sound. If you have particularly power-hungry high impedance headphones (dt990pros, for example), you can then switch to the high gain setting if you need more volume. Schiit Modi 3+ DAC. USB does not work correctly when unit first plugged in. You have to heat it with a hair dryer, or turn on the headphone amp for awhile to get it to work. Optical and coaxial inputs work fine. Ships in original box with USB cable, does not include USB wall wart. Also has a light dim sticker over the LED to cut down on the brightness, you can peel it off easily if you want.
