Play/Stop/FF/REW alles funktioniert. Kein Rattern und keine Geräusche vom Getriebe, Gerät läuft wie damals in den 80ern. Der Sound ist echt Weltklasse. Das Batteriefach ist clean und der Batteriedeckel ist vorhanden, nichts fehlt.  Sehen Sie sich die Bilder an, diese sagen mehr als Worte. Ein Muss für jeden Liebhaber und Sammler.    Der WM-DC2 war der letzte Schritt auf dem Weg von der kleinsten persönlichen Stereoanlage der Welt (der WM-2) zu dieser neuesten Version: der besten persönlichen Stereoanlage der Welt. Aufbauend auf dem bereits hervorragenden WM-DD3 gab es wenig hinzuzufügen, obwohl die Designer auf einen Bereich stießen, um sich zu verbessern, und damit den WM-DC2 über alle anderen hoben.    Die wichtigste Ergänzung war die von Dolby C NR. Dieses neue System versprach einen noch größeren Dynamikbereich als mit der vorherigen Anordnung erreichbar und erhöhte die Kassettenleistung entsprechend den Erwartungen, die Compact Disc mit sich gebracht hatte. Um Dolby C in einer persönlichen Stereoanlage zu implementieren, waren spezielle integrierte Schaltkreise erforderlich, die nicht im Handel erhältlich waren. Deshalb hat Sony ihre eigenen entwickelt. Da die meisten aufgezeichneten Bänder in Dolby B codiert wurden, war auch diese Option enthalten. Die Schalter für Dolby und Tape wurden wie beim WM-D6 mit gelben Anzeigen ausgestattet, die von der Vorderseite des Gehäuses sichtbar waren.    Um das Paket zu vervollständigen, wurde der WM-DC2 auch mit einem speziellen „laseramorphen Kopf“ ausgestattet. Diese Komponente war einzigartig für das Modell und von höchster Qualität sowie ungewöhnlich verschleißfest.    Diese Änderungen machten aus einem bereits teuren Modell ein sehr teures Modell. Von Anfang an wurde beschlossen, den WM-DC2 neben dem WM-D6C und dem TC-D3 als „professionelles“ Modell anzubieten. Die Idee einer professionellen Stereoanlage nur für die Wiedergabe ist nicht leicht zu verstehen, obwohl während eines langen Produktionslaufs angemessene Umsätze erzielt wurden. Um dem „professionellen“ Benutzer zu helfen, wurde eine der Kopfhörerbuchsen in eine echte Line-Out-Buchse für den Anschluss an einen Verstärker oder ein Tonbandgerät.
