Linn Asak - Supex Moving Coil System - Nadelträger fehlt - zum Retippen! Das Linn Asak DC2100 war das erste Tonabnehmersystem überhaupt im Linn-Programm. Wie seine Nachfolger Asak-T, und Asaka ist das Asak ein japanisches Design und wurde bei Supex produziert. Erst bei den späteren Modellen Troika und Karma wurde die klangliche Abstimmung nach Linn-Vorgaben vorgenommen. Das Asak weist bereits optisch eine starke Ähnlichkeit zum Supex SDX-1000 auf, baut aber deutlich flacher und besitzt lediglich einen Aluminium-Nadelträger. Kunststoff-Systemkörper mit Aluminiumverblendung. Ursprünglich bestückt mit nacktem Diamant auf Aluminium-Nadelträger mit Namiki „Vital“-Nadelschliff 5 x 18 µ, Innenwiderstand 3,5 Ohm, empfohlener Abschlußwiderstand min. 10 Ohm, Ausgangsspannung 100 µV, Compliance 10 µm/mN, Auflagekraft 1,5-1,7 p, Gewicht 7,0 Gramm. This vintage Supex cartridge came from a deceased estate clean-up I did a couple of years ago as part of my secondhand business. The previous owner was a radar technician with the air force during WW2 and following the war he continued his interest in electronics which included HiFi gear. I have listed the item as used, but it may never have been. As pictured, it looks in brand new condition with no issues at all that I can see. Keep in mind Im not very experienced with vintage HiFi gear!

This turntable (pictures1-5), his tone arm and Supex 900 super (picture 6) and Supex SDT 1000 step transformer (pictures 7 and 8) are in perfect working conditions and come with several accessories including a spare belt, the oil for the tone arm in a syringe, a Decca brush for cleaning LPs and a Supex liquid for cleaning the stylus (pictures 9 and 10), the written instructions of Mr. Lurne himself (the conceptor of the famous Goldmund turntable) to adjust any cartridge (in French, but that I will be very pleased to translate, being fully bilingual, picture 11) and all original packages (pictures 12 and 13). The stylus of the Supex 900 super cartridge is in excellent condition as my Linn Sondek was only used to read brand new LPs (see last paragraph below). I am a stereo maniac, with a McIntosh amplifier 7270, McIntosh preamplifier C31V, McIntosh CD player MCD 7007, McIntosh FM tuner MR 7082 connected to an external antenna, Quad ESL 63 Pro electrostatic speakers, Revox B77 reel to reel tape recorder, and Nakamichi 1000 ZXL K7 deck, both tape recorders connected to a DBX 124 noise reduction unit (see pictures 14 and 15). Connectic is by Monster cables, except for the Quads, which are connected to the amplifier by Leedh cables. My listening room is almost perfect with a height of 6.5 m in inverse V (see pictures 16 and 17), and thus with a huge volume. The Quads ESL 63 Pro are perfectly placed at 1.2 m of the back and lateralwalls in stone (0.7 m thick) and distant of 4.5 m. The insulation of the walls on the back of the Quads has been rigidified to avoid any parasite vibration as the Quads function in doublet. There is a specific electric line for the stereo directly from the electric counter. You may notice 1) that the amplifier at the bottom of my rack is sufficiently far away of the other components to avoid any radiation of the monstrous output transformers of the McIntosh amplifier 7270, and 2) that the Quads are on home-made metallic stands. They are filled with sand with cork supports on both the metallic plate bottom of the Quads and on the wooden floor. In my personal opinion the Quad stands are not high enough to get a perfect stereo image for a seated listener. I have plenty of test CDs including the Chesky volumes 1 to 3, plenty of friends who are musicians, and I regularly assist to live concerts of mostly Baroque music, blues and jazz... I had two turntables: This Linn Sondek LP12 operating in my main listening room with an AGI 511 A preamplifier (much better than my present McIntosh preamp for its phono section, already sold recently on eBay). Another secondary stereo system with a turntable Thorens TD 160 (also recently sold on eBay) was in use in my office comprising a Marantz 2225 receiver connected to the external FM antenna, a basic Sony CD player CDP-690, and a pair of French 3A Apogée Monitor speakers (see pictures 18 and 19).

SUPEX SD-900 PRE KOETSU MOVING COIL CARTRIDGE HANDMADE BY MASTER JAPANESE CARTRIDGE MAKER YOSAKI SUGANO san IN EXCELLENT WORKING CONDITION AS TESTED. This information is per my Internet research as I am not the original owner. The cartridge came with a turntable I purchased. This is an original rare early model SUPEX SD-900 moving coil cartridge which is noted for its high quality sound. This cartridge was handmade by master Japanese cartridge maker Yosaki Sugano san who went on to make the high end Koetsu phono cartridges. This cartridge has a nice rosewood body with an elliptical 0.2 x 0.8 mil stylus tip. The cartridge is all original with no retipping. Since I am not the original owner, I am unsure as to how many hours use the cartridge has. However, it was tested and it tracks well with high quality sound. The cantilever was inspected under glass and is straight in very nice condition. The rosewood body is in excellent condition except for the edges around the stylus. I attribute this wear to a slide on stylus protector that came with the cartridge but I am unsure if this was the cause of the wear but it seems the likely cause. The rear gold terminals are in excellent condition with light wear. The cartridge is in overall excellent condition. This is a low output moving coil cartridge at 0.2Mv so will need a transformer for use. It will be carefully packed and insured for shipping.
