Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the center of the deck. Tape loading/unloading is operated motorized and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Level meters used on the V-5000 are generic digital peak reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the V-5000 let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection. To ensure the best response from the wide variety of tapes available adjustment of, bias and sensitivity, to optimum levels can be performed prior to recording. Dolby C-type used in the V-5000 provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type. The Dolby HX PRO system provides precise bias control during recording to reduce distortion and improve linearity in the high-frequency range, the result is recorded sound that is highly faithful to the original. The 19kHz multiplex pilot slgnal present in FM stereo broadcasts can cause false triggering of the noise reduction system. The switchable MPX filter of the V-5000 filters out the pilot signal, and assuring proper Dolby processing of FM stereo programs. For undisturbed listening a jack connector for a pair of stereo headphones is supplied. Connection to other audio components for plaback can be achieved by a RCA cable and recording from a source by a RCA cable. All main transport basic commands can be issued remotely with a wireless remote control (supplied) with display on off. The RC 425 remote is new, the commands are sent from the right hand side of the dual remote. Teac ZD-5000 CD Player that was originally released in Japan. This is a high-end CD player that is solid and heavy! The CD Player by itself weighs 20 pounds, hence the high shipping cost. The issue is the CD drawer does not want to open when pressing the button. When you press the open/close button, the player makes noise like its trying to do something, but it wont open on its own. The CD drawer can fall open leaning the unit forward. Not sure what the issue is. I have powered the unit on and it appears to work, but I dont have a way to verify anything except that the display power on. The machine itself it in very nice condition. Very little wear and all the buttons click as they should. The back has four RCA connectors plus a DB25 port for some reason. The DB25 is listed as a Sub Code Out, I have no idea what this is used for. Includes the original remote control (no batteries) that is in good condition.

TEAC Z-5000 Master Cassette Deck The TEAC Z-5000 Cassette Deck is a rare top end Cassette Deck from 1983. It is very sought after, renowned for its superior build quality. The Cassette Deck was pulled from a house clearence a couple of months ago, Its had very little use looking at the pinch roller and head. The Deck is stunning, very clean with just a couple of small scratches on top as normal. The Deck powers up, all displays come on but does not play - It needs a new belt. I purchased the belt a few weeks ago with an attempt to restore it back to service - however its beyond my technical capabilities and should be restored/repaired by someone with expertise. Ive removed the old belt and cleaned up the wheels, put the cover back on. Its mint inside, no signs of dust or rodents! Im actually gutted to see this go, I was planning to use this to upgrade from my Technics RS-B565/Denon DRM-700, but funds and space says this has to go. Needs Attention - New belt required (May need a Service?)- Missing the Output adjustment wheel, these look like they are just covers as they just pop out (see photos) If you can collect I would prefer, Im just 20 minutes from Stansted Airport.
