What a great heavy table. Cast base, not plastic. Unit was degreased. All old grease removed and new installed. New motor belt and custom made tonearm drive rope made with old parts. Drive rope breaking is common and the part is not available. Cover and platter polished. All controls function as Technics intended. The table is clean with only minor wear and tear as shown. Technics SL-QL5 Turntable. Works great and sounds great. Had a nice audio technics PT600 cartridge. Quartz timing holds a dead accurate speed. Has a few scratches on the lid but nothing too bad. Will need the ground wire which is available aftermarket for $10 or it can be made. I heard no hum while using it so may not even need it but always a good idea to have one.

Technics SL-QL1 Turntable (pre-owned) in Full Working Order. Selling due to downsizing my hi fi equipment. Linear tracking tonearm turntable. New drive belt on tonearm mechanism. Quartz locked direct drive platter. Highly praised and highly sought after turntable. Black in colour. *see next paragraph* If you would prefer silver over black I can transfer the internal electronics to the spare silver shell I have, but delivery would take longer obviously. Just leave me a message as to which you would prefer. Upgraded hard wired phono leads with gold plated phono plugs. The stylus has only had around 30 hours use. Comes complete with original instruction manual. In very good condition considering the age of the turntable with minor marks on the perspex lid. Please see photographs as they form part of the description. A superb sounding record deck. Postage high due to weight (7.5Kg unpacked) and insurance. No international bidders!
