Es handelt sich um ein sehr seltenes Sondermodell des TD 160.Gemäß der Prägung im Großen Plattenteller ist der Plattenspieler von 1976. Mit dem starken 220 V Motor und der 10 mm Tellerachse gehört er zu der ersten und höchstwertigsten Baureihe. Die wirklich absolut seltene Deckplatte ist samt der Beschriftung und des Silberstreifens noch durchgehend eloxiert und nicht wie bei den späteren Modellen einfach beklebt. Die Gehäuseform entspricht ebenfalls noch der MK I Version ohne den eingezogenen Sockel, aber das Gehäuse hat schon die besseren Scharniere. Außerdem gibt es schon eine Transportsicherung (die Sie dann unten mit den beiden Schrauben lösen müssen) und einen gesicherten kleinen Plattenteller.Technisch befindet sich der Thorens in einem ausgesprochen sehr gutem Zustand. Thorens TD160 with SME3009 arm. This turntable is complete but needs some TLC and service. The motor runs and is quiet. The SME 3009 has a fixed head. The arm feels free but is missing the bias weight and the out rigger weight. The perspex cover need polishing has a scratch on top and a small crack near the hing point on one. see photos.
