The SPL Series II subwoofers are designed to deliver big bass from small enclosures, and be affordable. These include the SPL-800II, SPL-1000II, and SPL-1200II, which have 8, 10, and 12 drivers respectively. They have large excursion, on the order of at least 1, and digital switching amplifiers that output 1,000 watts RMS. This differs from the SPL Series I, which had smaller amplifiers. The amplifier is critical because to move the driver back and forth that large excursion takes plenty of power, especially in a small enclosure.

Velodyne SPL Subwoofer With REL T5 Amplifier Plate. This is my DIY project. Original Velodyne SPL, amplifier plate was removed and REL T5 was adopted to Velodyne body. It sounds really great without any problems. You will not be disappointed. Two front rubber legs was missing, and installed replacements what I can find. There’s a scratch about 2 inches long on the left side of gloss box but it’s really hard to see it. Please look all photos and ask any questions .

Selling: a Velodyne SPL12BV 12” ULT(Ultra Long Throw) Powered Subwoofer In Excellent Working Condition! Shows some normal signs of use with a couple of cosmetic imperfections that does Not affect functionality at all. Imperfections consist of a chip on the back corner, and a small chip on the front left corner as shown in photos. Two Pegs on the Grill are broken inside the holes-BUT, the Grill Does Still Stay On without falling off:-). Lastly, one of the feet has a small crack in the plastic as shown in the photo(s).
