Yamaha CX2000 preamp (with DAC, phono stage), fully overhauled. I bought this from Japan using Buyee. Note that it is 100V as it was made for the Japanese market only. You will need a suitable transformer (I use one from Airlink). I had it shipped directly to a Yamaha expert to be overhauled. He did the following: 1. Replaced all the electrolytic capacitors with new Nichicon (audio grade where needed). Used film caps where possible (video board included). 2. Repaired cracked solder connections on most of the TO-220 transistors. RCA jacks had a few iffy solder connections as well (repaired). 3. Volume control knob had a broken grubscrew. Was able to extract the broken screw and replace it with a new setscrew (without damaging the knob). 4. Cleaned controls with Deoxit (triple cleaning of loudness control). The bill for new caps (etc) was over $200, and I understand from an email he sent that over 190 caps were replaced. I also had someone strip and veneer the side panels in pimento pepperwood burl. Note that there are some marks on these: see photos. There are also two minor scratches to the top plate near the front of the preamp (see photo). I am selling this as I have quit the vintage amplification phase Ive been going through in recent years. There is no real need to keep this CX2000 now, as I already have an excellent modern preamp (Octave HP 700SE).

Downsizing my home theater and moving so selling my system. The Yamaha CX A5200 is a top of the line preamp/processor. I compared many systems (including Marantz, Arcam, Denon etc) before buying it. The micro detail and surround is amazing as is 2 channel music. Paired with a proper amplifier, its outstanding. I bought new from Crutchfield in 2021. Per Yamaha it has a 3 year warranty (so through Feb 2024), but not sure its transferrable. It will ship in the original box with all the key equipment (remote, antennas mic stand, microphone, power chord). I am selling a Yamaha CX A5200 surround sound processor in excellent condition. I am rating an 8/10 just in case theres something cosmetically I missed but its pretty much been in place since I got it and havent moved it. I used it for movies only about once a week and havent had any issues with it although there are a ton of features and its not possible for me to test all of them (I didnt use it for music, just hooked a blu ray player and an apple TV to it). I am the first owner and purchased this from an authorized dealer. Comes with the original box, remote, ypao mic, manual and power cable.
