Firstly it is important to know exactly what part of your speaker has failed! If a tweeter or woofer is not working, first check your bi-wire links (If using them) Then substitute the non working drive to the same position on the working speaker, making sure the speaker is NOT connected to any amplifier first! (Also at this time check and ensure the crimps/solder connections are well made) If the fault moves with the drive unit, then that drive would likely be the problem (Check it with a meter or get someone to test it for you if unsure!) If the fault stays with the same speaker/position, double check everything again And then remove the crossover to check the exact model number and revision (MAKE A NOTE (Or take a picture) of the connections before removing!) If unsure PLEASE PLEASE ask FIRST and I will do my best to help in any way I can ** NOTE ** These are VERY delicate and mishandling WILL damage them ** NOTE ** NEVER place or store a drive unit face down as damage to the surround and spider may/will occur! Always stored and handled correctly, the old foam (Rotten/Sticky) gasket has been removed and terminals cleaned to ensure a good contact for either crimp or solder connections. Custom packing to ensure nothing touches or presses on the surround or the cone D.C.R Measured at about 3.7 Ohms (Correct for this unit) NOTE:- my meter shows 3.9 Ohms as it zeros at about 0.2 Ohms with the current leads and is NOT callibrated in any way. * * * * SO WHAT WILL IT FIT ? * * * * This will fit the Mission 753/753F and a number of others (As a C13 upgrade) (e.g. upgrade the old Mission 760/780-Mk1 etc) ****** ! These parts are Sony boombox replacement, PCB (printed circuit board board), model numbers 1-677-741-11 16-677-743-11 1-677-744-11 was removed from a Sony Cfdzw755 boombox. Also includes the other boards with the other model numbers on them as well, everything in a pictures will be included The board is perfect for electronics technicians who need proprietary, specialty parts, and spare parts for the boneyard. The boom box that housed these parts, at the time of posting had some strange issues. Here’s what was found at the time of testing: Compact disc mechanism spins but will not play CDs, radio works, cassette player seem to work. However when playing cassettes the sound cuts in and out and after observing I see the tape is consistently moving so it seems to have a short somewhere in a wire or somewhere. The cassette player was also tested with headphones, and the same issue continues with the sound cutting in and out. The antenna is still fully intact, and not bent. Feel free to ask about any other parts for this boom box we may have them. This item is being sold in “as is “ condition for parts or repair.
