However, the S40 sounded better. (By comparison, the Allisons sounded too bright, whereas the S40 sounded more natural.) I highly recommend the S40 speakers.

Acoustic Research AR4XA Vintage Loudspeakers In good condition for their age and working order. Fully tested, and working very well. They sound effortless and very musical, they have a much tighter bass end than I first imagined and they are very pleasant to listen to. They will be packaged so they cant get damaged in transit.
