Connection for an external word-clock although the internal clock exceeds many external clocks available. I should say the remote control has never worked. I did not use the remote - all functions are accessed via the front panel anyway. It may be a software setting or upgrade, I really do not know. All functions otherwise work as they should. Sound is amazing! The two headphone outputs can be used with a Mytek adaptir (included) for balanced headphone output.
