Here we have a preowned pair of Bowers & Wilkins DM603 S3 floorstanding speakers. The speakers are FAULTY - one of the tweeters has blown. Besides this fault, the speakers are in fair condition. The grilles are missing, and the speakers have sustained some cosmetic damage which can be seen in the pictures attached:- the aforementioned blown tweeter (see pictures 1, 2 and 3)- some chips on various parts of the speaker (see pictures 8, 9 and 10)- some slight corner damage around the top face of the speaker (see pictures 1, 5, 6, 7, 12 and 13)- some tape marks towards the tops of the back faces of the speakers (see picture 7)- some damage to one of the rubber rings which secures the grille in place (see picture 11) Both speakers also have an assortment of more minor cosmetic marks and scratches in various places. 2 x Bowers & Wilkins DM603 S1 Generic Replacement Tweeter Loudspeakers Coils & Foils.Always fit in pairs, that way they will look exactly the same & they will also sound exactly the same.You are buying a pair of generic replacement tweeter coils & foils (as seen on these pictures) to fit the bowers & wilkins DM603 S1 loudspeakers.They are a very good replacement for your old blown or dented tweeters.Dependant on when exactly your tweeters were made, these will either slot stright into place or you will find they are about 1.5mm wider that the slot for them.If they are slightly wider, then all you need to do is to put a very thin edge of superglue around the edge of your plastic tweeter surround (use the tip of a cotton bud) & then place the tweeter coil - foil in place using the magnet part of your complete unit to line it up while the glue sets.BEFORE you first open the tweeter up make sure that you mark the position of both parts of the tweeter, they slot together in a certain place & marking them before opening them will save you loads of time & agro later on.You will need the following tools to fit these.A philips screwdriver (small - medium head)A flathead screwdriver (small - medium head)A soldering iron & solder.Some superglug & a cotton bud.These replacement tweeter coils & foils can be used with many bowers & wilkins loudspeakers.You will need a steady hand, a fair degree of common sence (like do not glue into place until you have made sure it fits together correctly) & a few minutes spare time when fitting these.REMEMBER, THEY ARE VERY DELICATE, NO RETURNS ON ANY COILS - FOILS THAT YOU DAMAGE WHILST FITTING THEM.RETURNS ON BRAND NEW NOT FITTED COILS - FOILS ONLY.If you are not still not sure about fitting these, in the first instance have a look on youtube, you will be able to find videos on there showing what to do.If you still have issues, then send an email through ebay messaging to us, we will attempt to get back to you within 24hrs (we are NOT sat on the computer 24/7)FREE UK SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM.All items are sent by signed for & recorded delivery.
