Tested main functions, on multiple tapes and records for multiple hours, all worked as it should, sound is great. Cosmetically in very good condition, no major scratches or scuffs (see pictures). Speakers in excellent condition inside and out. MMC4 cartridge. As for any vintage unit no guarantee of any kind and no returns due to shipping cost and weight. Bang & Olufsen Beocenter 7700, master control panel 7700 & working B&O MMC3. Designed by Jacob Jensen in 1982, the Beocenter 7700 was the dawn of the Beolink® system. Years ahead of its time, you could control your stereo and speakers from all around the house. This listing comprises of the Beocenter 7700, the 7700 Master Control Panel and an original, working MMC3 nudeline elliptical diamond cartridge. The Beocenter is in working order although Ive been unable to properly test the tape deck. The radio works, but a new aerial is required in order for it to tune to stations effectively. The main event, the turntable works perfectly as does the light in the hood above the platter. The LCD display also functions and can be controlled by the Master Control Panel, which works aside from the LCD displays. As with most units of this age, it has its quirks. The panel above the tape/radio deck doesnt stand up on its own and a previous owner has made some attempts to fix that without success. There is a small screw visible in the steel panel to fix something into place. Its not really noticeable, but youll see it if you zoom in on the main photo. Some kind of expanding filler is visible when you open the tape/radio deck hood on the right hand bracket. The infra-red receiver on the left of the Beocenter needs to be glued back into place, but this should be a simple fix. Most of you wont really care about the above and will be chiefly interested in the MMC3. If thats the case then please bear in mind that I considered listing separately, but would like the Beocenter taken off my hands as I just dont have the space for it any more. Collection only as these things are incredibly fragile. Dont have the B&O speaker connectors any more (lost in house move) so will struggle to provide a full demo, but do have a pair of rudimentary headphones that will prove it functions.

The pickup cartridge can be the discs worse enemy since an ill-suited cartridge can mark a record for life in a single play.While B&O is aware that cartridge specifications are inter-related, their research shows consistently that Effective Tip Mass (ETM) is one of the major factors affecting record wear. ETM is the equivalent of the amount of inertia the groove sees in moving or accelerating the stylus tip. Consequently, the higher the ETM value, the higher the force required for a given constant acceleration. Obviously, more force results in more wear.Three elements contribute to ETM. The stylus tip (diamond) contributes with its entire weight and mass. The armature contributes between 5 - 20% of its weight and mass; the cantilever around 30%. B&O has been able to reduce ETM substantially by refining these elements and building them into an integrated unit. Years ahead of its time, you could control your stereo and speakers from all around the house. This listing comprises of the Beocenter 7700, the 7700 Master Control Panel and an original, working MMC3 nudeline elliptical diamond cartridge. The Beocenter is in working order although Ive been unable to properly test the tape deck. The radio works, but a new aerial is required in order for it to tune to stations effectively. The main event, the turntable works perfectly as does the light in the hood above the platter. The LCD display also functions and can be controlled by the Master Control Panel, which works aside from the LCD displays. As with most units of this age, it has its quirks. The panel above the tape/radio deck doesnt stand up on its own and a previous owner has made some attempts to fix that without success. There is a small screw visible in the steel panel to fix something into place. Its not really noticeable, but youll see it if you zoom in on the main photo. Some kind of expanding filler is visible when you open the tape/radio deck hood on the right hand bracket. The infra-red receiver on the left of the Beocenter needs to be glued back into place, but this should be a simple fix. Most of you wont really care about the above and will be chiefly interested in the MMC3. If thats the case then please bear in mind that I considered listing separately, but would like the Beocenter taken off my hands as I just dont have the space for it any more. Collection only as these things are incredibly fragile. Dont have the B&O speaker connectors any more (lost in house move) so will struggle to provide a full demo, but do have a pair of rudimentary headphones that will prove it functions.

Bang & Olufsen Beocenter 7700 with MMC4 & Remote Control in Excellent Condition. This was the top of the range model upon its release. All system components work perfectly. Turntable running at right speeds with cartridge and stylus in excellent condition. The turntable is fully automated and will start from remote even when on standby. It recognises when there is a record on the turntable from weight. The turntable lid sits flush and opens elegantly at a touch of the open button. The light works which sits in the lid and helps illuminate the record/vinyl. Tonearm is balanced at the right weight and this MMC4 sits close and parallel like a mini version of the Super OM10/20 cartridge stylus combo do. Tape deck working with eject button slowly opening tape part slowly and elegantly. Radio working with ability to set presets which can all be found via remote control as well on either frequency. This amp sounds magnificent with some really good power behind it. I recently refitted all new feet so the system sits perfectly flat. Tape 2 inputs (which I used for a streamer) work great and this input can also be used by the remote. All LED panels work correctly displaying all the correct characters which is a common fault so it is rare to find one like this. Remote control also in excellent condition. Comes with high end speaker wire with the necessary 2 pin din connectors. Speakers not included. Negative parts - Ive highlighted small knocks on front right and left (sadly common) but these dont take away from the high end and very cool, standout wow factor of this magnificent system. Also the metal door on the right doesnt spring up slowly anymore but manually rises and sits nicely in position. That is it and as said these issues dont detract from the incredible sound, visual and tactile experience.
