The Sonics 600X is effectively a rebadged Bryston 5B (see links below) and is a three channel power amplifier rated at 120 watts/channel RMS @ 8 Ohms and 200 watts/channel RMS @ 4 ohm. The two main channels can be bridged for 400w mono output @ 8 ohm. As a triple-mono amp, all three channels are in one chassis, and each channel has their own toroidal power transformer and power supply capacitors. The Plitron tranformers were custom-made for Bryston (82 VCT @ 2.75A, or 225 watts). The power caps for each channel consist of two 10,000µ, 63V capacitors. The rail is ± 55 V and each channel has 30.5 Joules of power supply energy storage. The back panel has a detachable grounded (three-prong) power receptacle, (1) XLR female input, XLR male looping output for LF/subwoofer, and (4) post/banana jacks for +/- on each of the two main channels.
