It has the very sweet sounding and musical Burr Brown PCM Multi bit 1793 option. It was quality made and designed in Australia. Parts Connection modifications consisted of some upgraded parts and changing the pre-out from fixed to variable. The USB interface does not work and did not work when I purchased it as it was non issue in my system. Everything else works as it should. The Burson gear is known for its excellent design, craftsmanship, parts quality, fit, finish, sound quality and performance. It sounds very nice, open, detailed, dynamic, involving, smooth, transparent and very musical. It is powerful(2 watts RMS per channel-Class A) and drove all of my headphones easily. It uses gold plated input/output heavy duty jacks, and has an IEC AC input and comes with power cord. It was $1700 retail. It has been well cared for and always in a non smoking climate controlled environment. There are some small scratches on top, nothing serious at all. Buy with confidence, see my feedback.
