Cary SLA 70 Class A tube power amplifier in excellent, fully working condition. Taken from a working system. 35 watts of Class A, tube power per channel. Power tubes are a matched quad of Electro Harmonix EL-34s, barely used (under 30 hrs use). Other tubes are vintage RCAs & Phillips tubes. Sounds clear, clean, & wonderful- detailed & smooth. Vocals sound great, as does acoustic music or jazz. There are reviews online, this is a well-respected & well-known amp. I’m the second owner & have had this amp for about 10 years, during which time it’s been babied. Runs very hot, as it is Class A, & needs some space around it. For those who are so inclined & adept, the bias on the amp can be adjusted. Selling only because I’m moving & must downsize; if it doesn’t sell, I’ll be happy to be forced to keep it. Very slight buzz, audible only when ear is next to speakers & inaudible when music is playing. (Could be my tube preamp, but in my experience if it’s got tubes, it’s gonna have a slight buzz.) Very heavy, solidly built amp. The original box & instructions were damaged in a storage unit water leak, but will be well-packed & securely shipped. In my experience, it sounds better if you warm the amp up at least 30-45 minutes. It’s not necessary however.

The Cary Audio Xciter DAC has received several on-line good reviews including at Hometheaterreview (dot) com; a Head-fi (dot) com member and a Stereophile review which notes how the Xciter is a good match up with the Cary Audio MS-1 Server (which is not for sale under this auction). As a DAC, the seller used the Xciter to connect to digital music sources in two ways: running a SP/DIF cable from the Cary DAC digital source section to a CD player. Seller also ran a USB cable from the digital source section of the DAC to a computer which is equipped to receive a USB connection. Music heard via the USB connection by seller was to a computer that provided on line access to music sources, e.g., you tube videos, Tidal, Qobuz, some of which require membership. For music to be heard, the seller connected the Cary DAC to a Yamaha receiver via the analog left/right outputs on the rear of the DAC. Seller listened to music by headphones via the Yamaha receiver headphone jack or through external speakers connected to the receiver through left/right speaker jacks on the rear of the Yamaha receiver. Cary Audio DAC-200ts. It is working. One of the antena in the back broke but doesnt affect any thing. All in one unit with bluetooth and various input/output. The tube output is a bit noisy for me so it may need new tubes.

This eBay listing is for ONE Cary Audio CAD-808 Rocket 88 Tube Amplifier. Used and in excellent working and cosmetic condition. I bought this brand new from Cary in 2003 and it until now has been in storage for the past 10 years. The only blemish I can find is a super small spot of discoloration on the Cary label which is on the power transformer. This amp puts out 20 watts per channel in Triode mode / 40 watts per channel in Ultralinear. I sent it to Cary in 2005 and had it upgraded to utilize the 12BZ7 tubes instead of the 6922 tubes. You can use both 12BZ7s or 12AX7s if youd like... The BZs sound best though. Comes with 2x Electro-Harmonix EL84 tubes, 2x RCA 12BZ7 tubes and 4x Ruby KT88 tubes. As for the output tubes....You can use the EL-34, 6L6, 6550, KT-66, KT-77, KT-88 or KT-90 flavors. The two 1629 Green Eye tubes on the front plate are mesmerizing to watch, They display the power output. The 12BZ7s come with silicone dampers installed. I am going to drop this amp off at Mojotronix for a once-over where it will get a thorough check-up (Pots, Jacks, Contacts, Tube sockets cleaned, Caps checked, Tubes checked, Confirm all components working at spec, Bias the output tubes). I am having this service performed because the amp has sat idle for the past decade AND I want to assure the next owner years of trouble free operation. Comes as shown with the tubes mentioned above and the cable for setting the tube bias. This amp is heavy... 50lbs! I will double box it and use Insta-Pak foam to assure a safe delivery to you. Cary SLI-100 in makellosem Zustand mit Originalverpackung, allem Zubehör, Upgrade durch Innovative Audio (Reinhard Hoffmann, Lemgo) und zusätzlichen Röhren. Das Gerät ist nur sehr wenig gelaufen, ohne funktionelle Mängel und auch optisch makellos. Es finden sich keinerlei Kratzer, sonstige Macken oder Gebrauchsspuren. Aus meinem persönlichen Erstbesitz und Nichtraucherhaushalt. Ich habe das Gerät im Dezember 2022 vom Händler La Cacchia als Vorführgerät gekauft. Das Gerät wurde laut Aussage des Händlers vom Werk im September 2021 ausgeliefert. Die Seriennummer lautet 2021251. Es handelt sich um die 230 V Version. Komplett mit dem originalen Lieferumfang: Gerät, Röhrenkäfig, Originalverpackung, Fernbedienung mit Batterien, Netzkabel, Kabel zur Bias-Einstellung, Ersatz-Sicherungen, Kreuzschlitz-Dreher, Bedienungsanleitung sowie weitere Dokumente. Folgendes Upgrade wurde von einem der versiertesten Röhrenexperten in Deutschland (R. Hoffmann, Innovative Audio) im Juni 2023 durchgeführt: Austausch der Koppelkondensatoren gegen Mundorf Supreme, Austausch der Gleichrichter gegen Infineon Avalanche sowie Austausch der Lautsprecherbuchsen gegen WBT Top Line 0735 (siehe das Foto von der Rechnung sowie die gelben Markierungen auf dem Foto vom Geräteinneren anbei). Das Upgrade genau dieser Komponenten wird auch als Option gegen Aufpreis von Cary selbst ab Werk angeboten. Zu meinem Lieferumfang gehören neben dem Original-Röhrensatz zusätzlich auch zwei selektierte und gematchte Paare E88CC Gold Pin von JJ sowie 6SN7 GT von Tung Sol. Das Gerät ist nur sehr wenig gelaufen. Die Röhren sind wohl gerade einmal eingespielt. Der Verstärker klingt sehr musikalisch, tendenziell eher warm. Er spielt ohne Störgeräusche (Brumm). Mit dem Upgrade ergibt sich nochmals eine hörbare klangliche Verbesserung (mehr Transparenz und Auflösung). Der aktuelle Neupreis des Geräts beträgt 8.000 Euro. Die zusätzlichen Röhrensätze haben zusammen einen Wert von rund 150 Euro. Das Upgrade kostete 1.104 Euro. In Summe beträgt der Neuwert des Lieferumfangs daher rund 9.254 Euro. Mein Verkaufsgrund ist der Umstieg auf eine getrennte Vor- / Endverstärkerkombi.Ich versende per DHL versichert über den vollen Warenwert.

Cary Audio CAI 1. Purchased this from Upscale Audio. They tested it out prior to shipping to me. They sent it to me triple boxed and the winner will receive i packed the same way. I am not going to keep this as I am moving towards a Musical Fidelity integrated amp. This model initially sold for $2000 when it was originally released and now some dealers that have old stock left and is selling it at $899. My starting bid is half of that with no reserve .
