You are bidding on an Ekco TRG 249 Radio and Turntable. This was working when it was stored in our cupboard under the stairs in 1999. However, since this was over 23 years ago, it is now being sold for parts or not working. After all this time, Im sure some of the capacitors might need replacing since the machine is over 75 years old. I think the radio has short, medium and long wave bands. The deck has 33.3, 45 and 78 rpm. It comes with the installation and operation instructions, the Garrard Automatic Record Changer booklet, the guarantee registration card, an Ecko inspection label and 4 Ecko 45 rpm adaptors - made in England. The equipment dates back to about 1955 and I had a separate Ecko catalogue for sale on Ebay which shows the original price was 41 guineas! There is some damage to the veneer on the bottom left and some other minor defects. I havent been all over it so please look at the pictures as these form part of the description. Free pick up from the Barnet area by arrangement. I would prefer this option; its so old that I dont think it would take kindly to being handled by post. However, if you would like this but would need it delivered, then this might be possible. I do some travelling around and so please let me know what area you live in and lets see what might be arranged - before you buy please! Untested and selling as spares / repairs - would be a great window display in retro shop or cafe - see pics to assess condition Please note one leg has a shorter screw and as a result only screws into back left hole (took me a while to work out)

Vintage Ekco ZU9 Sound Project Turntable Receiver Tape Gram Ext DX5839. Not sure if it works properly as i dont have the right speakers to test it out. Has some cracks in the lid cover. The turntable is spinning and the needle plays on the vinyl and some low music can be heard, otherwise I dont know what the state of the remaining parts is. Make me an sensible offer and i may accept. Plus the sistem must be collected from my address as is a quite heavy piece and not suitable sending by post. COOL AND RARE SYSTEM!
