It works well on certain stations.We live in Gaithersburg, MD. These are the FM stations we can get: 98.7, 100.3, 101.1, 103.5, 105.1, 105.9, 106.7, and 107.3. The AM stations we can get are: 980, 1260, 1500, and 1600. We tested the battery back-up, and it doesnt work. Someone bought this item and returned it claiming the AM didnt work, it worked perfectly when I received it as a return. Then, another person bought it and sent it back with the tuning knob broken, which it wasnt prior to shipment. I am tired of looking at this thing! Lol.
