Garrard Model 301 With SME 3009 + Ortofon VMS 20E MK2 cartridge Record player 1 fully working and well looked after original Garrard 3011 SME arm1 Ortofon VMS 20E MK2 cartridge1 custom made oak veneered plinth (see pic - that was a sample shown to me before purchase) The time has come for me to part ways with this record player. Its more than a record player its a piece of art if you ask me! I have had this serviced (last April 2021). I have had custom plinth made for this which cost £650 at the same time! I have used this, although not much as for me its such I nice thing to look at! I have used this for approx. 3 hours in total since the last service. Two transformers removed from the GARRARD301H console box of the record player used in the British BBC broadcast. The use is unknown, but I think its probably for the built-in EQ amplifier. One point is like a choke and measured 6.5H, and the other point is 7.2H on both primary and secondary sides with CT.

The platter spins, the speed control works, etc. Cosmetically, some slight marks and scuffs on the back edge of the plinth. This unit was mounted in a console, the original flat head screws, washers and nuts are included. Due to age and a long period of non-use this turntable is offered for restoration and sold as is.
