TESTED! Test results: 1). Phono and Aux inputs work properly with Full Stereo playback. 2). The FM receiver works, but the only station that I could get to play in Stereo is broadcasting from 5 miles away (WDCB, Glen Ellyn, IL.) The other FM stations, all across the dial, dont light up the red Stereo lamp and dont play in Stereo. Placement of the antenna doesnt make any difference, unfortunately. 3). AM radio doesnt pick up a signal. Other observations: The plastic, lighted AM FM channel indicator (pointer) is a bit crooked. All other things look very good, and the sound quality is what you expect from Harman Kardon. Heres the narration of the video. It starts on the CD player. Play is pressed and music flows! The camera swings across to the function knob showing its in AUX 2. Camera pans across the dial to far left side and then the function is changed to FM. The red Stereo lamp lights up and WDCB is being broadcast in Stereo. The camera swings to show the function knob in FM position. Camera pans back to left side. The Stereo lamp goes out as the tuner is moved across a few stations and it doesnt light up again until it returns to WDCB. The wrap up:As an amplifier the unit works properly. I didn’t mess with those because my soldering skills aren’t good enough. The bass knob sticks out slightly. Some small dings and scuffs but the faceplate is in very good condition overall. Sicherlich ist eine Generalberholung und Reinigung bei diesem Gert fllig. Ich verkaufe das Gert ausdrcklich als defekt fr Bastler! Zustand bitte den Bildern entnehmen. Vorne an der Blende ist das Acryl etwas verformt, sieht man kaum. Gerade mal nachgezogen, das gute Stck wiegt doch 12 kg, daher die Versandkosten fr ein groes DHL Paket. Vintage Mid-1970’s Harman Kardon 430 Twin Powered Stereo Receiver in very good condition. New LED lights but the dial and stereo lights need replacement. I didn’t mess with those because my soldering skills aren’t good enough. The bass knob sticks out slightly. Some small dings and scuffs but the faceplate is in very good condition overall. The Harman Kardon 430 is definitely a classic and features unique H/K circuitry. “Twin Powered” means that each channel has an independent power supply which really enhances performance. So, even though it’s rated at only 25 wpc it can handle most anything you throw at it and still produce outstanding clarity and detail.
