For the age this is in overall good condition and has been kept well This turns on just fine with the mains lead but hasn’t been tested with batteries unfortunately Due to the age I would say the belts on the cassette players would need changing and I’m unsure if these work as I don’t have tapes to test them Any questions please ask

Here for sale is a Hitachi stereo radio cassette player in full working order, excellent sounding unit, this has been fully stripped and serviced, including new tape deck belts and all capacitors changed, few age related marks but nothing serious, all functions work exactly how they should, all radio bands pick up stations and has a very sensitive tuner, tape deck functions as it should and has loads of torque. Full demo will be given. Work carried out - Unit fully stripped and cleaned.Controls cleaned with Deoxit D5.Tape deck fully disassembled, cleaned, new grease and oil used where needed.New belt kit, pinch rollers treated with rubber renew and motor speed adjusted. ( Quality belts used not the cheap pack of 50 that have imperfections causing wow and flutter )Changed all the electrolytic capacitors new Panasonic and MCM high temp long life capacitors. ( This will extend the life of the unit as capacitors age and drift values. ) This is a nice clean sounding unit that does go loud, changing out the capacitors helped that out a lot with less distortion, cleaner treble, more bass and better stereo soundstage. Hitachi 3D Super Woofer Twin Drive TRK-3D80E This item turns on and the radio works. The buttons for the surround, the equilizers etc all seem to work fine. I have no tapes to test the tape deck unfortunately and the tape deck on the left has a stuck record button so I would presume that this wouldnt work. I was pleasantly surprised how this sounded with the surround active. The front grill seems to have marks all on it, possibly specs of paint.

Upon testing, the radio works correctly and clearly, however the right speaker seems to be intermittent. Most likely an easy fix. The tape deck will need some attention though, again could be an easy fix, Im not sure. Please take this into account when buying. Antenna might need tightening but signal and sound very clear as it is. Very loud this with additional bass etc. Not too heavy either makes it easily transportable. Priced accordingly

Hitachi Cassette Recorder Double Deck 3D Super Woofer Boom Box TRK-3D8E *Read* Speakers cut out a bit when volume moved, usually settle. Volume sliders seem quite stiff. Speakers cut out sporadically when different sound modes toggled. When first powered on I had to toggle the battery - AC switch a few times before it came on fully. The radio and tape decks and functions are working. Works on power lead and also on batteries (batteries not included). The quality of the speakers seems good but cannot guarantee 100% as when new. There are dings / scratches / signs of use as detailed in photos. Selling as is for parts or repairs and not fully tested every single knob + slider so please bear in mind.
