a recent estate find. I picked these up at the estate sale of someone who worked for AMPEX in the 1950s and 1960s. I found some other interesting Ampex gear as well as paper ephemera / schematics I shall be listing soon. This listing is for a PAIR OF JAMES LANSING N801 CROSSOVER Networks for the 5030 Loudspeaker system. I believe these are of an early to mid 1950s vintage. The serial numbers are pretty low 163, and 208. Ive tried researching these a bit. I think they wouldve been matched with 375 drivers and 150-4C woofers like the AMPEX 6000 which was the same as the Jim Lansing Theatre Sound System aka the T550A which i think was also manufactured as the WESTREX T550. By the time these were produced the Lansing reputation of quality in cinema sound had already been established by the Shearer System and the Altec Voice of the Theatre ( VOTT ). These are very spiffy looking. I have no way of testing these and couldnt guarantee them to be in perfect working order anyway so Im offering them in as found condition , i.e for parts not working with no returns, although they could work just fine.
