Item had a JVC service centre clean about 2 years ago.New Philips bulb mercury UHP has been fitted using the original and superior OEM casing and lens. The lens has also been cleaned with optical lens cleaner. Bulb has ZERO hours on it due to a internal fan that requires a service. The item is listed as parts not working. A new bulb has been fitted. There is a internal fan that has stopped working and needs a new part or replacement, fixing this will get the projector booting up again. I have tested most of the video display connections. x2 HDMI 1.3 work fine as does composite video, unable to test S-video as I have nothing to test it with. Checked component video and colour looked off dont no if its the cable or a fault. Cannot get a signal from VGA port dont no why. D-ILA, or Direct-drive Image Light Amplifier, is JVCs proprietary version of LCoS microdisplay technology, known for deep blacks, great skin tones, reliability, and dynamic excellence in a light-controlled home theater. These projectors are so desirable that they rarely show up for sale, on ebay or elsewhere. JVCs D-ILA home theater projectors have always had excellent picture quality. They deliver great contrast, very deep black levels, and a beautiful picture with pure CRT analog characteristics. They come in elegant, high gloss black casework, fan noise is better than most other projectors, and lamp replacement costs are competitive. At MSRP of $4,995, they were not the least expensive 1080p projectors on the market, but their image quality is top-notch. It even received Editors Choice Awards. This projector is working perfectly well, no known issues or problems at all. I have no remote for it, however, all the functions are available on the projector itself and codes are widely available for control by smart phone or universal remote as well, If you use MX-3000 remotes, I have a file for it as well with power codes and such.
