Kenwood KA-3020 Stereo Integrated Amplifier CD Tape Working Phono Input Faulty. Listed as spares repairs as there is a fault phono input. Phono input when tested was incredibly quiet even with volume up to max. Other inputs fine Metal caps on the rca phono connectors were missing and sound was not good via that input. Have fashioned some replacements from another unit I was scraping. That fix is very crude indeed but sound is now good via that input, Aux can also be used for the CD input. Tape and Tuner inputs also tested and working well. Input knob turns further than it needs to, almost all the way around the dial, this can be confusing when working out which input the knob is facing to. It doesn’t turn further then Tape/Dat 2 to the left, and stops shortly after 6 o’clock position, even though there haven’t been any inputs since 3 o’clock position. Both speaker channels tested and working well Bass, Treble and Balance also tested all working well Headphone socket tested and working well Some small knocks and paint chips on the top front edge. Front has some light scratches and scuffs and some light wear to top and edges of some of the knobs. Kenwood KA-3020 Amplifier. This classic Japanese made still sounds great after all these years. In good working order and in good condition for its age. Although it’s output is 30w per channel it packs a real punch. This amp dates from 1995 and has that classic Japanese sound. Check out the reviews online.
