Kef IQ5 SE - Floor standing Speakers. I dont know much about true hifi but my father (who left these behind) did. He wouldnt buy anything he hadnt done a lot of research on that had good sound. They have spikes on the bottom so theyre not going anywhere once youve set them up. Im not sure that I have the model right, eBay wouldnt let me list it without more information so I had to add something. They have been well looked after and as you can see they are in good condition. Any questions welcome.

Kef IQ5SE - one pair of magnificent floor standing Speakers in Dark Apple Wood Colour. So, here it is. My beloved Kefs. The speakers from my home audio system that used to be my pride and joy. I had paired these with an Arcam system and the bi-wiring set-up produced an awesome sound. Why am I selling? The truth is, since I moved into my current house these have remained boxed along with the whole system because I just dont have the room anymore. Ive kept hold of them thinking that I may be able to fit them somewhere, but its just not going to happen. This really is a reluctant sale but the reality is, I just cant make use of them anymore so Id love for a fellow audiophile to take them off my hands and get as much enjoyment out of them as I once had. For those that know these speakers, they will appreciate the size of them and therefore understand that when storage is at a premium, its not ideal keeping hold of them if theyre not being used. They are in excellent condition except for a slight bruise on one of the speakers and small finger damage on one of the drivers, they occured courtesy of my Daughter (shown in photo). However the Ferrofluid has likely dried out in the Tweeters as is common with these speakers - the sound is therefore dull - all other parts of the speaker sound balanced etc including the bass. There are options to replace the tweeter - or if you can, replace the ferrofluid - after which you are likely to have a lovely sounds pair of speakers. Now thirty years old, the classic C95 was the flagship model in KEFs C series, which first introduced the revolutionary KEF UniQ technology with the tweeter mounted dead center in the mid-range driver for amazing sonic accuracy, detail, and pin-pont imaging. 35 inches tall and weighing a hefty 42 lbs. each, these beautiful towers have a three-way design with an added internal coupled cavity running vertically through the tower, a wonderful design borrowed from KEFs state-of-the art Reference Series. But unlike the Reference Series, the C95 does not require an extra equalizer to reach the optimum frequency response balance.
