This classic Leak Stereo 70 vintage amplifier is in great condition and good working order. All of the inputs work, apart from the tape connector on the front which I have been unable to test, and the audio quality is great - there’s no hum or crackle. The balance is skewed ever so slightly to the left, but this can be compensated for by the balance control. The switches and potentiometers have been cleaned and all the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. Modern push-spring speaker terminals have also been fitted as the original plug-in speaker blocks were missing. Cosmetically, it’s fabulous for its age. The wooden cabinet has a few minor scratches and marks, and there’s some wear to the type around the input selector, but otherwise it’s clean and tidy. All in all, it’s ready to keep providing musical pleasure for years to come. Due to its age and value, this is collection only. Please don’t ask me for a quote for postage.

I’m guessing that because there are no phono inputs, and two “Disc” inputs. There is a power input control so no matter where in the world you are, you will be able to select the correct A/C power requirement provided in your region. Yes, it works! I cleaned the pots, and put in a new fuse for the “on” light. Im pretty sure it doesnt meet the manufacturers original specifications. Then again, I dont really have that kind of sophisticated equipment to test it. It could probably use the capacitor upgrade, and a thorough cleaning and check up. I’d love to fix and keep this, but wifey says I have way too many audio toys. Needless to say, I am selling this unit “AS-IS”, for parts or potential fix. The selector knob is not original, but does the job well. I am also including the 2 speaker plugs, which you’ll need to hook up speakers with. Wood cabinet in good condition.
