The first video goes through a few of the functions just to demonstrate that the unit works. The second video is more for the Esoteric SACD player Im selling, but you do get to see the MC-4 in action a little more. Lexicon or not, this obviously isnt new tech anymore. Dont get me wrong, the quality of the DA converters and decoding is top-notch, but youre not going to find 9-channel Atmos processing on this unit. Still, the MC-4 has a lot of life left in it and it functions beautifully as a preamp if nothing else. Its the perfect partner for a multi-channel SACD system that has no more than 5.1 channels anyway. The unit looks fantastic and functions perfectly from what I can tell. I had it running on TOSLINK and analog inputs from the Esoteric. The screen isnt quite as bright as it should be. There is a display off function on the remote, but I couldnt find anything to control the brightness. It may just be that the display is showing its age. Its not burned out, but not super bright either. You can see the remote isnt in perfect condition. Thanks to the geniuses who invented soft touch its not that pleasant to use. It functions perfectly, but if it were me, Id probably take it apart and scrub all the soft touch material off it. The MC-4 comes with the original box, remote, power cord, and manual. I normally ship Fed-Ex ground so contact me if you need a different service.

Manual revisions pertinent to the V2.00 Software upgrade: The V2.00 allows the passing of 7.1 PCM (LPCM) upto 96 KHz source via HDMI inputs. Upon receiving a 7.1 LPCM source over HDMI, the MC-12HD automatically loads 7.1HD DIRECT mode. This new mode is analogous to 5.1mc STANDARD and allows the use of bass management, speaker crossovers, speaker distance calibration, and audio controls (tone controls). When these features are not used, the 7.1HD DIRECT listening mode is similar to the 7.1mc BYPASS listening mode. Note: no special setting on the MC-12HD is required. Upon detecting the 7.1 LPCM audio, the MC-12HD will display 7.1HD DIRECT in quick status. When listening to 7.1 LPCM audio, pressing 2CH button on the remote loads 7.1HD 2-CHAN mode. In 7.1HD 2-CHAN mode all channels are downmixed to Front L/R. The V2.00 fi xes an abrupt noise issue when switching from certain 48KHz LPCM tracks to 96KHz LPCM disc title track and vice versa. Improved audio sync time when playing CD.
