There were two different versions of power supplies used in the Karik - the original round Brilliant switch mode supply and the later rectangular Slimline Brilliant switch mode power supply. Some of our other previously manufactured products used the same round and or Slimline power supplies, such as models of the Kairn, Kremlin, Wakonda and Numerik during this production period. It is possible that a Linn retailer may have a damaged product that the power supply can be salvaged from, however, it is best that a Linn retailer inspects your Karik to confirm if indeed the power supply is causing the issue. This Numerik has the Linn Brilliant Power supply fitted. The Numerik is a stunning standalone DAC but can also be partnered with the Linn Karik CD player with which it is linked by separate digital data and digital clock leads for the maximum control of jitter. This Numerik is supplied with its power lead and the two Linn cables required to connect to a Karik. The Numerik has two stereo DACs onboard so can be used as the DAC for two digital sources.
