Up for sale are all the reference top of the line Meridian hometheater equipment which includes the 861 v8, 800 v4 and the UHD 722 plus the original remote control in excellent condition except few small hairline scratches and rough edges on the custom installed plexiglass casing on 861 and the 800 (please see the pictures). The uhd722 is in perfect condition and comes with the cables as shown in my pictures. The retail original price were : 861v8- $25000 ; 800v4- $20000 and UHD722- $3000. The 861v8 comes with the 2 optional cards (analog balance output cards) OA18. This is an amazing hometheater system that you can purchase at the fraction of the original cost!The 861 & 800 originally were the rack version without casing and I made the piano black plexiglass casing for them which has been screwed on them with 4 screws on each and can be removed if you prefer to rack mount them and they are included free with the sale. Here we have the legendary Meridian Ferrari F80 tabletop radio/CD player/clock — the first tabletop music system for audiophiles. Bought new back when CDs were all the rage. Light use over the years. The sound is glorious. And the potential for connecting your portable source is real! Your DAC, DAP, etc. can plug into the back panel, as can most any other analog or digital source you would want to use. See my separate listing for the i80 dock, designed to let you use Apple products like an iPod or an iPhone to play music through the F80. Note re CD “lips”: As is common with these units, the plastic “lips” that guide the CD into the F80 fell off, and the little plastic holder that secured them does not let you replace them. It doesn’t affect functionality at all. The F80 plays CDs 100% fine without the “lips” — you just insert the CD and guide it with your hand so it goes in straight. This Meridian Signature Reference 808.2 CD Player was received by us as a part exchange from a longstanding customer of ours. It is in excellent condition and only has a few minor marks and cosmetic scratches (see photos for more). The previous customer has included FOC a brand new spare laser mechanism in the box should its new owner ever need to change it!It comes in its original box with remote control, power cable and manual. Here is a brief description from the original customer Once hailed as “the world’s best CD player” I never completely took to it, although I adored the Meridian 508.24 I’d owned previously. I always thought it was far too big, I didn’t really like the design, I hated the plasticky CD tray and I immediately regretted not having bought the 808i version, which had separate pre-amp controls and would have allowed me to input digital and use the unit as a separate DAC. It does sound good, though - very good indeed - and somebody with a large legacy library of CDs will want it. It was factory upgraded by Meridian to the v.2 version (paperwork’s in the box) and a new purchaser can take comfort from the brand new spare laser mechanism I’ve also put into the box. The supplier of the laser also provides a fitting service if it’s ever needed (paperwork in the laser box). This was bought by me as a future-proofing precaution but it’s never been needed.
