VG Condsounds great, good condition - please read below for full description I love the warmth of a NAD amp, this is a great sounding amp - and viewed as am important classic.This is in good condition, a few light marks, the main mark is on the black lid, near the front - I have shown a photos specifically of this.All inputs are working. This amp has a built in phono stage. The only point to bring to your attention (which has been common to 3 NAD amps that I have had in the past) is that approx 4 seconds after you turn the amp on there is a power burp. I have included a video (apologies for the poor sound quality, I was mainly trying to record the power surge noise), please listen to the video to hear the noise. A Very Nice example of the NAD Series 20 3020A. 100% working perfectly. It is in very good condition. Original RCA MJ2955/ 2N3055 power transistors still present. Casing in very good condition too. Input connectors are 24 Carat Gold plated as is the Phono earth connector and the upgraded speaker Posts ! Amp totally cleaned inside. These old amps need it - see last picture ! All potentiometers have been serviced (Volume, tone etc) and work with no crackles. ALL of the Electrolytic capacitors have been replaced including larger Power supply Filter capacitors. It is imperative that these are all changed. Old capacitors of 40 years+ are EOL and they will fail. New multi-turn trimpots installed for Amp idle bias adjustment. DC offset and bias have been correctly set. Original RCA output transistors remounted on new Silicon thermal transfer pads, replacing old dried mica insulator/ thermal compound. This amplifier is an upgrade of the original 3020 series 20. It includes an MM/MC Phono input. Released around 1981. It has a truly stunning sound quality that always impresses and is suprisingly loud ! For sale a vintage NAD 3020 Series 20 Stereo Amplifier which I bought 1978/79 A tremendous amp! I’m now moving to a smaller house and sadly need to downsize my belongings, so the amp will be replaced with a smaller modern NAD ???? I’ve just given the amp a final blast (Kid A); sounds superb. You can see that cosmetically the amp is in very good shape given it’s age so it’ll look good in any setup. Bought new by me in 1981. This has been stored for many years. I hooked it up to a CD player and its functional. One of the plastic speaker connection buttons is missing ( the black one on the far right ). This is a spring loaded clamp to hold the speaker cable. I have confirmed there is a signal from the output by touching the speaker cable onto the metal connector. Obviously there needs to be a permanent solution. See pic. No returns thanks. Sold as described. Collection preferred, but will post 2nd class. Please let me know before you pay so I can send the correct invoice. Thanks for looking.
