Ill confess I didnt risk using one of my overpriced audiophile LPs (not knowing the styluss wear), but I did have enough confidence in the styluss condition to play a relatively valuable promo LP. I used a digital microscope (one of those cheapies that work quite well) to take the magnified image of the stylus and cantilever. The cantilever is definitely straight and free of distortions (Ive seen ads for similar cartridges, but with bent or dented cantilevers). Im not knowledgeable enough about examining stylii under magnification, so I cant really give offer an expert assessment as to the wear or tear: Please bid with the understanding this phono cartridge is, to my knowledge, used. It does not have an original box, but Ill pack it in a manner that will offer good protection from carriers. Here is a rare Ortofon MC200U low output moving coil cartridge!! This was pulled from a Denon DP-62L turntable that was traded to us-the owner says it has between 50 and 60 hours of use. There were two versions of this model: the MC200 that has a long, Concorde style body and this version, the MC200U (for Universal). It sports a very desirable nude mounted Fine Line diamond tip that is clean and sharp!! (this is similar to a Line Contact or Shibata). It was difficult to get a good pic of the cantilever as it blends in with the color of the cartridge body- it is nice and straight. Output is only 0.09 Mv so a step up device or preamp with a dedicated MC input is required. Compliance is 11 uM/MN. Coils measure 3.4 ohms. Includes the correct slip-on stylus guard. Der angebotene Onkyo Vollautomat ist optisch in einem sehr gutem Zustand und läuft einwandfrei. Haube mit diversen Wischspuren & leichten Kratzern keine Risse oder Sprünge, Scharniere fehlen leider!Er hat leider eine kleine Macke, die Startautomatik funktioniert nicht. Bei Tastendruck bewegt er den Arm nur ein Stück zur Platte aber eben nicht ganz, ich habe ihn einfach von Hand aufgesetzt. Sonst funktioniert er einwandfrei search Funktion vorwärts rückwärts (mit der kann man den Arm natürlich auch zur Platte bewegen) Endabschaltung mit Tonarmrückführung alles einwandfrei. Wie gesagt nur den selbständigen Start mag er nicht mehr. Das hochwertige Ortofon TMC200 MC System klingt toll und verspricht noch viele Stunden Musikgenuss.
