Welcome to my listing for my beautiful Pioneer PD-S503 CD player. This stunning looking player is in exceptional condition throughout. This is a fantastic sounding unit, very dynamic and expansive sounding, with a deep soundstage and never harsh. The smooth vivid presentation of sound that this Pioneer player produces is immediately apparent from the moment you press play. With Pioneers proprietary Legato Link Conversion on board, the sound quality is almost analogue like. This player punches well above its weight in refinement. The transport is the Stable Platter Mechanism which is found in a number of very high CD players including Wadia. The headphone output is also of excellent quality and drives my Quad planar headphones with authority and ease. This CD player is solid as a rock and all functions work perfectly. It reads and navigates discs lightning quick and very quietly. The drawer is as smooth as butter in its operation. There are a few very light surface scratches from use but nothing major to detract from the beautiful presence of this player. This is truly stunning CD player and comes with its original remote. The CD player is in good cosmetic condition overall but does have some light scratches and marks all over and a small dent on the top lid. The CD player powers up but when a CD is inserted it does not spin up or read the CD.Also the headphone volume dial is a bit wobbly/loose.
