JC Penney Penny AM FM Clock Radio Stereo 8 Track 680-3740 VIDEO - WORKS but READ. This works but there is a quirk with the radio. Please see the video for a demonstration. The 8 track works as expected and you can change between tracks. The eight track tape shown in the video is NOT included. It is for demonstration purposes only. The issue is with the radio: if you turn it off the volume decreases but never quite goes off. To get it to fully turn off you have to press the auto/manual button down on the top. Similarly, to turn it on if you just power it on you won’t hear anything - you have to again press the auto/manual button so it is popped up. I do not know if this is how it’s supposed to work (I doubt it). It’s certainly quirky. Buy this only if you’re willing to deal with this. The clock works and keeps time. The display is not super bright. I was able to set both the time and the alarm but I couldn’t figure out how to actually turn the alarm on to make it go off. So I can’t guarantee it works. You can even set the date! That’s pretty cool for sure. There is a crack on the front clear face. See picture. I did not try any of the jacks in the back. The dial for the radio is not lit. The volume, balance, and tone all work as expected and are not scratchy. The cord has some black electric tape on it in one spot. See picture. This is a vintage item with wear and some dirt. It has definitely been used. Please see pictures and video for condition. This item is sold as is with no warranty. There’s no way I can guarantee a vintage item like this. Again sold as is.
