SUPERB 1964 HMV VINTAGE RECORD PLAYER - FULLY SERVICED & RESTORED / WORKING From Bakelite_Ed - selling vintage record players since 2008. This is a gorgeous His Masters Voice vintage record player, model 2016, circa 1964-65, in green with chrome detailing, that has been fully serviced & restored and is offered in full working order & very good overall condition for its age. This model has an ECL86 valve amplifier with rotary controls for Treble, Bass & Volume, plus orange pilot indicator lamp. The amplifier has been serviced with any components that needed replacing having been done so. This now has an excellent sound reproduction, plenty of volume, a really fantastic sounding machine with that classic sound that can only be produced by a valve amplifier. The deck is the reliable BSR UA25 four speed unit that plays at 16, 33, 45 & 78 rpm. Up to six records can be stackedm with automatic size detection for 7, 10 and 12 inch records. The deck has been serviced and adjusted as required and is now in full working order. The tonearm has a new stereo cartridge & LP/45 stylus mounted into an original cartridge bracket to retain period looks. This is suitable for the safe playing of all vinyl records including modern pressings. Note it does not come with a dedicated tip for the very old shellac (non-vinyl) 78s as I suspect most people wont want that anyway. Cosmetically, the unit has been fully cleaned inside & out and is in very good condition for its age. The padded lid has some minor marks but no rips or splits. The cabinet has some minor edge wear but for something almost 60 years old the condition is really very tidy indeed. The chromework is lovely, this is an absolutely fantastic looking player, as you can see from the photos. This model is a lesser seen one, I rarely get them in, so if you like the look of it, dont miss it, as you surely wont be disappointed. This will come with a full information pack including a copy of the original BSR instruction leaflet, guide to stylus replacement, a copy of a period record player advertising leaflet, and a free record so you can play your record player as soon as you receive it. It has a fully earthed mains lead & new correctly fused plug. I also provide a demonstration video to the buyer showing all functions working.
