Check out this amazing unit, recently purchased at an estate sale. Powers on perfectly, but has not otherwise been tested. The interior looks impeccable, with no evidence of rust or oxidation, as seen in photos. The exterior has some nicks as one would expect of a piece of this age and some of the knobs need to be straightened a bit, but with some minor cosmetic service this piece could really shine!

The unit will power on and we are able to use it as a bypass but the equalizer functions are not working. The units do not work on the unit. We are not the original owners of the unit and we do not know the history. The unit does have damaged sliders as shown. We are not accepting returns on this purchase.

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Overall, a nice one for being roughly 45 years old. Thinning out my stereo gear and don’t need two of these; so, letting this go. Not the cheap chicom stuff you find today. Works 100% and looks nice. All original and never repaired. Tested with vintage Technics Cassette Player and Kenwood Amplifier Receiver hooked to Advent Speakers. Bid is only for the SG-9500. All electronics work as they should. Sliders are smooth with no “snap, crackle or pop” and no hums sounds. Mid detents work on all sliders. Tested left and right with appropriate outputs heard as I moved them top to bottom and bottom to top. Face is nice with a few spots slightly faded here and there; “biggest” around Tape Monitor switch. I show them in multiple images of the whole face and in sections. Hard to see a couple feet away and usually at an angle but you need to be aware. Body nice with minor blemishes and what looks like reside from a label or sticker at upper left on the back panel. Bottom intact with all feet; scratches on the bottom plate that you will never see when the unit is in place. Rear AC works. Connections secure and work. Last image shows the hook up to test with the black RCA cables to and from cassette and the grey to and from amplifier. HIFI Engine has a link to download manuals; I think it is still free to join. FOR PARTS OR REPAIR - Radio powers on and lights up. It will output radio static in mono mode, but in stereo mode, there is no output. The volume knob is bent and pinched but still works, it is also missing the knobs. I did not test the tape deck, but I assume it does not work and needs at least new belts. I never got the radio to pick up a station, only static. Sold As-Is for parts/Repair with no returns I will gladly combine shipping if possible, just ask before paying please.
